The attractive peony hue with salmon nuances around the rim demonstrates the youthfulness of this wine and proves the hundred-per-cent ripeness of the healthy grapes used in its production. The wine's aroma is complex, reminiscent of lilies and apple blossom, but mainly of raspberries, cherries and mirabelles. On the palate we have an initial perception of wild fruit flesh, primarily of Cornelian cherry, though later the more familiar tones of sour cherries and redcurrant fruit make their appearance. Despite the fact that we are dealing with a dry wine, its flavour is actually bittersweet, laced with spice. On the finish it even seems to be saline, which is in fact a reference to the vineyard from where the grapes were grown on vines of more than forty years of age.
