Description of wine:
This Riesling comes from an over forty-year-old vineyard in Bavory situated on the Pálava slopes, upon which great wines of terroir are born. After a one-day maceration the grapes underwent a gentle pressing, clarification and spontaneous fermentation on their own yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Once fermented out the wine matured on medium-coarse lees until the end of March with regular stirring. At the Aurora Winery we believe that the less intervention, the more authentic a wine it will be. The wine’s bouquet marries citrussy lime and ripe stone fruit with a substantial minerality. On the palate the wine comes across as full, racy, with firm acidity while, on the palate, the wine is round, succulent, with firm acidity and a long, sweetish minerally conclusion - in short a wine that smells of the Pálava terroir.
