Description of wine:
The wine has a ruby-garnet colour with a pale brick rim. A rich fruity nose of cherries and figs is supplemented by the more considerable accent of milk chocolate. On the palate the wine feels less developed, richly extractive, with pleasantly balanced velvety tannins and a nicely poised finish of dried cherries and strawberry jam. The wine matured over 28 months in French barriques (70% new barrels). In the Wine Salon exhibition it can easily stand comparison with wines that are a year older.
