Description of wine:
This Pinot Noir from the Francle vineyard tract spent 18 months maturing in oak barriques. It has a deep red hue with a typically brick-coloured meniscus and also a fine viscosity. The nose is clean, exclusively ripe, with overtones of sweet cherry, fruit conserve and roasted walnuts. The palate is pleasingly mature, with a fine harmony between the tannins and the fruity acidity that reminds one of conserved fruit and sweet oriental spices. A lengthy finish. In the Wine Salon exhibition the wine can easily be compared to those wines that are a year younger.
