Description of wine:
The wine was made from grapes cultivated on the Nová Hora vineyard site, where the soil ranges from clay to loess. After fermentation the wine was left lying on the skins for 3 months. This was followed by a maturation of over 16 months in French oak barriques. It has a deep dark ruby colour. The nose is very intense, with tones of blackcurrants and over-ripe morello cherries, supplemented by a whiff of bitter chocolate. The palate is pronounced and lengthy, with an expression of dark fruit and coffee beans. Thanks to its structure and the preceding work with the barrel the wine has great expectations for further maturing.
